Automobile
insurance is a necessary evil, but choosing custom coverage based upon your
needs can save you money, and allow you to rest easy knowing that you’re
covered. Hello, my name is Floyd Arthur and I have spent over 20 years learning
the ins and outs of automotive insurance. Passing that information of to you
will help you get the best coverage possible at a reasonable price. Below we
will outline some of the most important considerations in selecting the appropriate
coverage as well as what you should be asking your insurance provider.
Getting
Started
When
you think of automotive insurance a couple of big names probably come to mind:
State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, and that is just to name a few. In addition to
these, several smaller local companies may also come to mind. These will be
different based upon where you live, but on average these companies are able to
offer you substantial savings over the larger companies and you should receive
a more personalized experience. As I mentioned, my name is Floyd Arthur and
currently I am the executive for the Carmoon Insurance Group. Although we offer
coverage is several areas, our focus is the business industry. When selecting a
local provider, ask them; who is your primary customer base? If it is auto
insurance then you have found a good starting point.
The
Underwriting Process
The
amount of flexibility allowed in the underwriting process should be your next
consideration. If the company only offers “canned” solutions, which you may
find with the larger providers, consider a different company. I like to take
the “Floyd Arthur” approach, which is creating a completely custom coverage
package for each customer. When you select a company, they should do the same
for you. Your needs are not the same as everyone else; so why should your
policy be?
Customer
Care
The
best policy on paper is only as good as the customer care team that backs it
up. Ask your provider; how long does it take on average to process a claim? How
and when is customer support available? If they don’t have the right answers,
keep looking. Besides speaking with them, ask around and see if people have
dealt with them and what their opinion is.
